Heard Museum canoe trip

Vaness and I did a canoe outing at the Heard museum back in May. It was alot of fun, but not quite what I had expected. The canoes were nice. They had back support which was WONDERFUL. They helped us in and out and had a short session on paddling. Both of us had been in a canoe before so we didn't need that. We paddled around a small area of wetland and learned about the ecology. The water is only 2-3 feet deep, so if you flip the canoe, just stand up. Saw the egret rookery that is nearby. It was fun and a nice done it once kind of thing. Worth it for a parent/kid outing. T-shirt is included. Tom

So, it's been awhile

It's not really that I haven't had anything to say. I just haven't sat down and said it. I'm headed to the Galapagos islands in 12 days. It's a trip I have been planning for almost two years, and I find it hard to believe it's almost here. I'll post an extensive trip report when I get back. Tom
